THE LEACHMAN FEMALE — THERE REALLY IS A DIFFERENCE

Big, roomy, easy fleshing maternal females provide the future.

Good square udders with a strong attachment and small teat size are imperative for longevity and less problems at calving. The cow herd is the base from which we all work while the herd bulls add stability and move on. Management is another variable that often changes, but it is the cows which secure the future. It is variation in the breed and within a herd which makes a selection program possible. At Leachman Angus we feel that our Angus females must be feminine, easy calvers, good milkers, fertile, and raise high quality babies while requiring as little maintenance as possible. Our cow herd has to work for us. We would not have it any other way.
